MOQ and tooling on custom boxes — not a catalog carton
Die, magnet jig, and EVA tray are program costs. A 500-piece folding carton and a 500-piece MDF book box are not the same factory conversation.
Why MOQ moves
Heidelberg sheet waste, grey-board wrap setup, and folder-gluer make-ready favour a run. Special shapes and MDF cores sit higher than a simple SBS sleeve.
Tooling is not ink
We manufacture boxes. A new dieline is steel. Ask whether the quote includes die, sample, and production, or lists them apart. We do not hide a die in “unit price” without saying so.
Repeat orders
If the dieline and wrap stay the same, say “repeat of PO …”. Colour still needs a sheet check. Board lots change.
Catalog ranges only. Confirm on sample, board lot, and destination spec. Certificate numbers are not invented here — request current scans on the RFQ.
